How many planets are there in our solar system ?

There are 8 planets in our solar system along with some dwarf planets. Following is the list in their order from the Sun :

 -  Mercury

 -  Venus

 -  Earth

 -  Mars

 -  Jupiter

 -  Saturn

 -  Uranus

 -  Neptune

Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet along with some other dwarf planets. Pluto was discovered in 1930 and was considered a planet making the number of planets as 9, but in 2006, the International Astronomical Union delisted it from the list of planets.
